Between 2006 and 2010, Florida broker VisionTech sold counterfeit integrated circuits to more than 1,100 buyers in the United States and overseas.

In one instance, a customer purchased ICs from VisionTech for integration into a system that controls high-speed train brakes.

Other ICs sold by VisionTech were intended to be incorporated into military radar systems, ballistic missile defense systems, and a tool used by emergency responders to identify radiation sources.
