Privacy Policy – CREATe.org

CREATe’s Privacy Policy describes what personal data we collect, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have with respect to this information.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected by The Center for Responsible Enterprise And Trade (“CREATe.org,” “we,” or “us”), including through the CREATe.org website and any other websites, mobile applications, or links to CREATe.org’s website and services.

  • Collection of user data. We target our website and other activities at companies and other organizations.  When you use our website, or otherwise contact us, we collect, process, manage and use a limited amount of personal information—in particular, your name, email address and other contact information that you provide, as well as IP addresses, “cookies” data, and other information about your device and use of our website and services that are collected automatically.  We may collect other information about you or your device in ways that we describe to you at the point of collection or otherwise with your consent, or in ways that we have agreed with your company or other organization. We may also receive information about you from other sources, including commercially available sources such as data aggregators and public databases. All such information is referred to in this Privacy Policy as “user data”.
  • Use of user data. We control, process and use user data internally to operate, personalize, maintain and improve our website, and to communicate further information about our activities, including marketing information, to you. We also process this information to comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and/or to pursue other legitimate interests.  We may combine the various types of user data we collect and use it as described in this Privacy Policy.  We use and keep your user data only as long as reasonably necessary to carry out these purposes.  We may also anonymize and aggregate any user and other data collected, and use and transfer any such anonymized data without notice, consent or limitation, so long as such data does not and cannot be used to identify you.
  • Disclosure to third-party processors, processing in U.S. We use third-party service providers to operate, provide and maintain some aspects of our website, and we may request and permit these service providers to process your user data under the terms of a written agreement with us.  Under such agreements, the service provider is only permitted to obtain the user data it needs to deliver the service, must keep all user data confidential, and may process, use and retain user data only for the purpose of delivering the service in compliance with our agreement, instructions and policies, including this Privacy Policy.  org and its principal third-party data processors are located in the United States, so user data is collected, stored and processed in the U.S.
  • User rights. When you enter your user data on our website or services, you have the right to review our Privacy Policy and to opt in or opt out to our use of your user data for marketing purposes.  You also have the right to get access to, correct, have deleted or anonymized, or transfer your user data, or opt-out from use of your user data for marketing purposes, at any time thereafter by contacting CREATe.org’s Privacy Officer (info@create.org).
  • Security measures and data breach. We and our third-party data processors maintain appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect user data, and conduct ongoing monitoring, training, auditing and improvement of such measures.  In the event of a data breach, we will promptly take steps to mitigate the breach and if required will notify relevant organizations, individuals and/or authorities.  You understand, however, that no data transmission over the internet or stored on a server can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you disclose or transmit to us and cannot be responsible for the theft, loss, destruction or inadvertent disclosure of user data.
  • We may transfer user data in our possession to a new owner or in connection with a corporate transaction, such as a merger, asset sale, joint venture, bankruptcy or other reorganization or dissolution.  We also reserve the right to maintain, use or disclose user data if required to do so by law, or in the good faith belief that such action is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, respond to claims or protect the rights, property or safety of our company, employees, customers or the public. Except as described in this Privacy Policy or the CREATe.org’s Terms of Use, we will not disclose your user data without your consent.
  • Changes to Privacy Policy. From time to time we may need to change the terms of this Privacy Policy in order to conform with changes to our services or legal requirements. We reserve the right to make such changes at any time, subject to notice and posting of the new Privacy Policy terms on our website.  We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy each time you enter user data, visit our website or use our services, to make sure you understand our current policy on collecting and using user data.
