Last week, CREATe.org President & CEO Pamela Passman participated in a panel discussion on supply chains at the Asia-Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce (APCAC) 2012 US-Asia Business Summit in Tokyo. The panel – Managing Shocks and Keeping the Business Humming with Global Supply Chains – explored how last year’s natural disasters, including the 3.11 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster in Japan, as well as the widespread flooding in Thailand, challenged the ability of global multinational corporations to maintain business continuity not only of their own operations, but also across their supply chains.
