This week, CREATe’s President and CEO Pamela Passman will join Intellectual Property thought leaders and senior practitioners from across South America at the XXXII International Congress on Intellectual Property in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The annual event, hosted by ABPI – the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association – features a program covering a broad range of IP issues important to Brazilian companies – from IP rights around biotech, manufacturing and exporting to the latest global developments in patent, copyright and trademark law.
Passman is participating in a panel discussion on challenges and opportunities for competitiveness on August 28th at 11am. Joining her on the panel:
- Gérson M. Schmitt, President of the Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES)
- Rodrigo Ouro Preto, Vice President at the International Law Commission
In the presentation, Passman will discuss CREATe.org’s approach to building compliance by helping companies work with their suppliers to improve processes around the management of IP protection and anti-corruption.
At the event, CREATe is sharing a booth with ETCO, the Brazilian Institute for Ethics in Competition. ECTO, a non-governmental organization (NGO) was founded with the mission “To promote ethics in competition and fiscal balance striving to business development in a fair and attractive environment for investments.”
