This week joined with The Atlantic for the America Works Summit, a national policy summit on American competitiveness in trade and the future of the US economy.

  • AmericaWorks Summit: CREATe’s president and CEO Pamela Passman presented in a keynote interview with The Honorable Robert D. Hormats, Undersecretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment. They discussed the challenges for global companies working in emerging economies, the importance of fostering a level playing field and addressing unfair competition abroad as well as the role industry can take on the issues of anti-corruption and IP protection. Under Secretary Hormats commended as an important industry-led effort to address protection of intellectual property and prevention of corruption.   • Op-ed: Under Secretary Hormats and Pamela Passman also partnered to co-author an op-ed for The Atlantic. The article covers the rise of global trade, the implications of IP theft and corruption on economies and examples of how industry has come together to collectively drive positive change on difficult issues.
