Brasil’s Clean Company Act 2014 holds companies responsible for the corrupt acts of their employees and third parties and introduces corporate liability for the first time. The Clean Company Act joins other laws with broad reach such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the UK’s Bribery Act to stem the tide of corruption. To help companies address anti-corruption requirements, CREATe has joined with PwC Brasil to offer companies a practical way to assess anti-corruption programs, gain expert insights and map out areas for improvement .
Announced at the ACI Brazil Summit on Anti-Corruption today, CREATe.org and PwC will offer companies a service that offers the opportunity to gain an initial program benchmarking, an independent assessment and a workshop held by PwC consultants to provide executives with a way to define a roadmap for implementing a robust anti-corruption program.
The service builds on CREATe’s work with Brazilian organizations and allows CREATe to help a broader group of companies to further our mission to make leading practices in anti-corruption achievable for all companies.
“We are excited to join with PwC Brasil to provide an anti-corruption solution that offers Brazilian companies a way to build on existing programs, further integrate compliance into business operations and ideally extend leading practices to subsidiaries and other business partners,” stated Pamela Passman, President and CEO of CREATe.
