CREATe Joins IMPI to Discuss IP Protection in Mexico

April 24, 2014
Categories: Intellectual Property, IP Protection

Next week, companies in Mexico will have the opportunity to learn how they can increase innovation and competitive advantage through the management of intellectual property assets.

In Mexico City and León, hundreds of companies will participate in seminars being held by CREATe.org and the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI).

CREATe CEO Pamela Passman will join Miguel Ángel Margáin, Director General of the IMPI, to discuss the commitment by both organizations to help companies improve practices to reduce the theft of intellectual property assets.

Intellectual property, in the form of trademarks, design rights, patents and trade secrets, is central to the success of companies. Effectively managing IP assets can be instrumental for attracting investment, competing at a global level and positioning a company for future growth.

Passman will also talk about CREATe Leading Practices for IP Protection, a service that enables companies to measure and improve systems in place to assess and manage IP. The service is available in Spanish, as well as Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese and English.

CREATe.org has a range of Spanish-language resources available, including Model IP Policies, a ‘Test your IP Exposure quiz,’ an overview of Anti-Corruption Guidelines and previews of Guides for IP Protection or Anti-Corruption. To learn more, please visit: www.CREATe.org/espanol.
