On February 14 at 1 PM EST, CREATe joins NCMS to host a webinar on how to implement an effective cybersecurity strategy to protect confidential information and intellectual property in the face of major types of cyber threat. Experts from the Center for Responsible Enterprise And Trade (CREATe.org) will be presenting “Corporate Data Security Webinar: Strategies to Safeguard Confidential Data from Top Cyber Threats,” an hour-long presentation on the current landscape of cyber threats and what best practices and effective strategies businesses can adopt to safeguard their sensitive data.
The webinar will address a series of topics, including:
- Key cyber threats today to trade secrets, intellectual property (IP), and other confidential data
- Common vulnerabilities that malicious actors exploit to access a company’s information
- The rise of regulations around corporate data and cybersecurity
- Elements of an effective approach to protect IP, trade secrets, and other sensitive information
- Practical ways to address people-, business-process-, and technology-related cybersecurity risks
Time will be held at the conclusion of the webinar for a Q&A period and discussion.
Pamela Passman, President and CEO of CREATe, and Craig Moss, CREATe’s COO, will be presenting. Ms. Passman and Mr. Moss have over two decades of experience in corporate data security between them. Prior to founding CREATe in 2011, Ms. Passman led Microsoft’s global public policy and regulatory compliance efforts across a range of issues, including privacy, security, and cloud computing. Since 2013, Mr. Moss has overseen CREATe Leading Practices, a comprehensive program that helps companies guard against piracy, theft, counterfeiting, and other IP-related risks.
CREATe is a non-governmental organization (NGO) supporting companies worldwide in the adoption of cybersecurity, IP, and risk-management best practices. CREATe is a co-founder of the Cyber Readiness Institute, launched last July in partnership with the Center for Global Enterprise to help businesses better manage cybersecurity risk across their value chains.
